I did a double take yesterday when I saw someone at the yard tipping a tin of rice pudding into one of their feed buckets (on top of chaff etc). They said it was for one of the 'skinnys'. My horse is definately not a skinny so won't be getting any but just interested to see if anyone else does this as it was a new one on me. Have heard of feeding natural yoghurt as cheap pro-biotic and I'm sure one of the show horses on a yard I used to work on many moons ago was fed goats milk in her feed for condition(I may be imagining this, it was a long time ago but sure it was something like that)
