Just wondered if anyone else had experience of blue chip making their horse actually settled sane and normal?
started one of mine on it when he dropped weight to get some show condition on him, and hes been so chilled and relaxed since he's been on it (just coming to the end of the first bag) like having a completely different horse at shows (well and home aswell).
hes still a pillock sometimes, but he can actually pull himself together and work properly now instead of going into adrenaline overdrive.
i was warned that it might send him off his trolley (high wheat content) but its done the opposite. perhaps its just balanced his nutrient intake up, or perhaps he was throwing a strop (for the past 13 years
) because he wanted fancy (bloomin expensive!) food.
either way, i am really happy now with him so onwards and upwards, just wish we had tried it years ago
anyone with an adrenaline fuelled nervous wreck(!), avoid the calmers and go straight for decent feed, will make a massive difference
