Taken ones look at the weather and has a face that screams "I'm not going out there mom!"
I don't do rain or mud never mind my horse! She sounds like she has only her comforts in her mind!Yes me, my show pony does not do rain/cold/mud
, she is precocious but we love her for it! When everyone else's horses come in looking like swamp donkeys I can be a bit smug that mine is generally mud free
. She has been known to leg it at the gate back to her stable if it's raining, so we have to be careful and make sure the gate is secure before releasing her!
Nobody has told her that horses are *suppose* to want to be out in the field and don't care about the weather.
Mine is going out for a few hours otherwise he will go crazy but as soon as he starts neighing to come in he will. Luckily he is at home with me so I can hear and see whether he's alright.Mine don't have a choice but I'm pretty sure if given it they'd rather be in a stable or barn. Horrible weather!

Nope, Ned prefers to be out. The silly horse just doesn't "get" stables and will break the door or jump out. I would love nothing more than to have him tucked up with a nice stable rug and a deep bed of straw!
You have a groom SMF? I wonder how you can afford one of those....
Anyway, none of mine have even left their stables this morning, and are more than happy munching hay in the dry. We are having the worst of it in the SW at the moment and supposed to get worse as the day goes on. Four of the geldings have been turned out because their owners don't want to pay for extra hay, and they all look miserable.
Phew! We just got ours in through gale-force wind and rain. They have had a good few hours out but now are very happy as long as there is LOTS of hay! They will be desperate to go out tomorrow though.....
