Anyone elses horses acting like nutters at the moment?

My mare nearly bowled me over today coming through the door. Shes usually so careful and respectful lol

Yes! After being away from mine for a while the firsy day I go and see and care for him he thinks it's a funny idea to crush my foot!

Now you mention it yes very bargey! We've had warm sunshine most of the day (although raining now) so reckon they'll be fields of tiny lollipops growing very soon.

Glad it's not just mine. My 23 yr old mare was like a 6yr old out hacking yesterday and today, spring is definitely on its way 😊

Yes. Alf has just flattened me. He was eating his dinner in the field shelter - and Spike popped his head round the corner and said "Boo!". Alf freaked out and ran for his life, taking me and his dinner with him. Idiot...

My boy fell asleep while I was tacking him up this morning.... I think it'll be another few weeks before he catches the spring bug. Our field is pretty atrocious atm.

Yes Amber thought a few bucks and squeals in the collecting ring whilst out show jumping was a good idea, my OH thought otherwise.!

Feeling as though I've been run over by a tank, I would agree spring is in the air, or I have the most piggest mare ever, she took one look at the field after being cossested all week in the barn and thought NO WAY HOS'E, took off to the nearest grass verge, being very muddy underfoot, I couldn't stop my normally well mannered mare from taking off, when I got hold of her headcollar, she got told off in no uncertain terms and put in the field to stretch her legs, as I had no hay to keep her in the barn, fighting her strained my stomach muscles, already damaged by too much heavy lifting, so just now I am feeling my age, mare is where she wants to be, in the barn with regular hay and I am keeping my gun handy for the next time she kicks offs

one of mine found a dead rabbit yesterday, he and the other pony looked at it, the first one prodded it and squealed then cantered on the spot the other pony high stepped around him in circles squealing.

The silence and stillness

Then the pony would prod the rabbit again and off they'd go all over again

I called them away and they walked away 50 yards then ran back and did it again!

I wish I had videoed it

Mine are certainly quite chirpy, Kira is as sharp as a knife and Millie has been doing handstands in the field. Spring is springing :)
