If so, please can you tell me recommended feeding rates (horse is 16hh, approx 600kg). The MVF website is pretty useless at providing information. Thanks.
Thanks. Horse is currently on a conditioning cube (different brand, but on that brands recommended rate), in medium/ hard work and does well on them. I’m just looking at possibly cheaper alternatives.I don't believe in feed rates based on size or weight, all horses are individuals and most quoted rates are far too high.
Unless your horse is in hard work my advice would be to feed ad lib hay or haylage, a balancer unless the forage is very mixed in species, oily herbs unless the grazing has plenty, and only add concentrates to keep the horses ribs not quite visible when stood still with the head raised, but still easily felt.

They are made by Mars Equestrian but usually (to make them cheaper) have different make up. They typically would have less vits and mins added.I believe mole valley feeds are made by spillers, so possibly check out feeding rate for spillers cubes and hopefully be good guide.
anhh, thank you, but don’t worry - I went in today and looked, and decided to stick with my current feed.I feed them and have a bag at the yard, I will try and remember to take a look at feeding rates when I go up shortly x
