Anyone feed Mole Valley Conditioning Cubes?

I don't believe in feed rates based on size or weight, all horses are individuals and most quoted rates are far too high.

Unless your horse is in hard work my advice would be to feed ad lib hay or haylage, a balancer unless the forage is very mixed in species, oily herbs unless the grazing has plenty, and only add concentrates to keep the horses ribs not quite visible when stood still with the head raised, but still easily felt.

Thanks. Horse is currently on a conditioning cube (different brand, but on that brands recommended rate), in medium/ hard work and does well on them. I’m just looking at possibly cheaper alternatives.

You should be able to compare ingredients and calorie levels by reading bag labels or asking the manufacturers. If the ingredients and calorie levels are very similar then similar amounts to what you feed now would be sensible. If the calories are higher or lower but the ingredients similar then adjust up or down. If the ingredients differ then all bets are off because horses are so different in how they handle different feeds, so I would start with what you feed now but watch for changes that suggest it's not right for the horse.

I believe mole valley feeds are made by spillers, so possibly check out feeding rate for spillers cubes and hopefully be good guide 😁.
They are made by Mars Equestrian but usually (to make them cheaper) have different make up. They typically would have less vits and mins added.
