Anyone got a BRC rulebook to hand, i need to know about appendix 2 and 3 in showjumping. can anyone HELP

can a horse and rider combination that was bsja registered to the end of february 2006 with £140 winnings compete in brc novice competitions now??

Novice SJ - 0 (other than notional prize money gained at 70/80cm level at intro shows)
Int SJ - 175
Open SJ - 600

Downgrading is by £50 per year for each year that horse isn't re-registered.

Hope that helps.

Fiona

ok so does that means i have nil winnings this year then, and i can compete in BRC novice showjumping?.

sorry all new to me

THANKYOU Fiona

Hi RedRed answer is No!

As Fiona said every year horse isn't registered it can be downgraded by £50. As the horse in question was still registered in 2006 you can't take off £50 for that year, but you can for 2007 and 2008 (i.e £100 off total) but none can come off for this year (as must be complete year).

Hope this makes sense!

That isn't quite right I'm afraid.

With regard to downgrading of BSJA winnings a year means any uninterupted period of 12 months, as with the BSJA if you register then your membership / horse registration is good for 12 months from that date, not just for that calander year.

So if the horse was last registered Feb 06, it can lose £50 for the year to Feb 07, another £50 for Feb 07 - Feb 08, & then a further £50 for Feb 08 - Feb 09.

Therefore in Redred's case where she has £140 winnings, she has got £150 downgrading to apply & therefore can do BRC novice during the 2009 competition year.

Hope that makes sense.......feel free to query further if not.
