I give mine a9/10. Very good for the price and very easy to use.

Does occasionally loose me in the bottom corner but I find it good enough to film online dressage tests.

Not good if you have other horses around or in the same arena as it is unable to distinguish between you and another horses.

There is a horse rider specific Pivo group with loads of good information on. It’s called Pivo horse riding community.

I sent mine back. It kept losing me. My school has the grazing fields round it so it kept switching into other horses. When it did stay with me it was good but it didn’t stay with me often!

echo all this. I sold mine when i moved yards as i rarely have the arena to myself or if I do it's outside with horses in surrounding fields. was a great little bit of kit at the previous yard and I used it a lot.

Interested in getting one but deeply confused about all the different types & accessories so can anyone recommend what I need for a video good enough for solo online dressage competitions? Many thanks ?

Pivo silver is all i bought, none of the accessories or other odds and sods.
I had a decent tripod already. the Pivo one isn't very sturdy for outdoor use but it will fit on any standard tripod so you can get a cheap one from ebay or amazon etc.
the rest is down to the quality of your phone camera really, i have always had pretty decent phones but older ones may not be supported, there's a list of supported phones which you would need to check before buying.

I've got a brand new one for sale. Its never even been out of the box and its the silver one and I bought extra tripods etc. PM me if you are interested. I never intended to sell it, but needs must at the minute sadly.

The only really useful addition is if you want to record is the action camera mount and an action camera.. this allows the action camera to clip ontop of your phone and a trripod ..

Worth searching the equestrian user group for recommendations on earbuds if you want to use it for virtual lessons.

I have one.my other half help me set it up as I'm not so good with tech. Other than the first time it's been brill. Do check out group for up to date advice. As others have said it will follow other horse shapes, especially if nearer the pod. As long as you check out what it's limitations are, and phone recommendations you should be fine.

Sold mine, absolutely would not track me alone on my own arena, we think because of the variety and distance of the background hills.
