Now that I have got myself another job following my redundancy (YAY!!!!

) I have wasted no time at all getting myself over to the local trailer dealership to look at trailers lol! At last I can spend some of my redundancy pennies!

Anyway, have decided to stick with my volvo estate for the time being and as such I need a lightweight trailer. The guy who showed me round was really helpful and although I thought initially I would be best off with a Bateson, it looks as though actually the Cheval Libertes might be better and given I will only ever be towing one horse, the single or mare and foal trailer is looking like the best option.

The single one in particlar seems to have a decent amount of room, rear/front unload and it is only 550kg. And it doesn't look odd like some single trailers. Reasonably priced and smart too.

Has anyone got one or used one? Any downsides to consider (other than the one horse bit and the fact it would be harder to sell on than a double)???

Dont have a single one but have the 2003xl double one and i love it. Used to tow an ifor wiliams 505 but find my cheval liberte tows much much better and the suspension seems much better than the ifor.
Seems like a good comprimise if you only need to travel one horse.

Again I don't have a single one. I've got the one for 2 x 16.2hh. I only tow one 16hh with it but it;s really lovely and I tow it with my 5 series touring BMW. No probs.

I did have a single one my 16hh long TB who is a poor traveller travelled well and we towed it with a volvo estate - the small one.

I sold it to a lovelly lady from here and she loves it too.

They are really stable and roomy and the doors open as a ramp and a door so you can load with a forklift if you need to get feed or bedding or anything.

Great value for money and I would buy one again.

I bought Pilib's single CL - had it almost 6 months now. Even had it out today, took it to Burghley!!

It's a really lovely trailer and I have travelled 3 different horses in it ranging from 14.2 to 16hh cob - with no problems. Infact I have done lots of things with it - furniture removal, taking rubbish to the tip etc & hay collection (can get 26 bales in!!)

I had never towed before but got to grips with the CL just fine.

Any info / pics you want do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you, that is great to hear.

How funny, not been on HHO much all day, I come on and there is my post from a few days back lol!

Think I'll definitely be having myself one then!!!
