Weird request of the day . . .
Is there anyone (preferably a few people) out there who would help me with a bit of "research"? Ideally in the "wedge" from more or less the M25 between the A3 and the M3, although that's more for convenience than a hard and fast rule.
I've been experimenting with a "mixed" approach to training/improving/maintaining "problem" horses for years and years, using some very traditional and some rather more, um, out there methods. I've just done the ones that have come along but I've been refining my approach and I'm curious to see how it works with horses doing various jobs and in different situations, how quickly/long results last etc. so I need a bigger study group than I can do as "regular" customers. Ideally I'd like to see a range of horses, from ones with significant behavioural problems to ones needing injury rehab to ones that just might benefit from a tweak here and there.
And, no, I'm not going to outline the details on here.
Only because it's complicated and somewhat individual and I don't want to get into a debate on the internet. (Although very happy to have as many as I need to privately.
) It's more of a "show me" than a "tell me". There are a few people on here (and more in the real world, obviously) who can vouch I'm not a [complete] nutter
but I don't want to put them on the spot publicly. The only qualifier is if it's a ridden issue I would need to be allowed to ride the horse. (All insurance etc in good order.)
The idea would be to try it and see. In return I'd like a bit of ongoing feedback. It won't hurt the horse and it shouldn't interfere with anything else the horse is doing, getting treated for etc. No gadgets or drama.
I know this seems very vague and random but the whole point is to attract people I DON'T deal with regularly, who don't know me or my methods and have preconceived ideas. I don't want to advertise a service, I want to attract some curious people (and horses) to help me understand and streamline the situation more fully.
If you're curious, PM me and I'll try to explain as best I can. You never know if you don't ask . . . .
