Sorry for not posting in the dog section but thought I may get a few more responses here!
Were currently looking for a new friend for Archie and keen to get a bitch between 6 and 12 months so that she will adapt easier into a house with another dog, cat and a few adults.
We may be looking at a rough collie x whos 6 months old and I just wondered what theyre like as a breed generally (dont know what the cross is yet!)
There will be children in the house occasionally and one day we may even have our own but I wouldnt let a child climb all over Archie whos 110% let alone any other dog (I have been told collies can be a bit unpredictable around kids).
Exercise isnt a problem and I think on average shed get at least an hour and a half a day (long walks morning/evening) and lots of mental stimulation.
Just really appreciate some feedback on the breed really! We're in no rush to find our second dog - want to ensure she's right for us and vice versa!
Thanks in advance.
