Anyone still living out?

Definately still out, and will be for all but the worst of winter :)
He has a LW rainsheet on atm, mainly to keep him clean and keep the stupidly thick winter coat at bay this year.
I'm usually one for keeping unrugged as long as possible, but I really want to keep his coat down this year :)

All out, ones rugged in a no fill but his fur was on end and he looses weight so easily I thought Id stick it on, but if the wind and rain subsides itll be off again. I usually dont rug till its under 10 in the daytime.

Mine are out 24/7, two have rain sheets on, the other doesn't. The TB will start coming in around the beginning of November, the yearling will stay out all winter and the Section A will start coming in at night next week (she off to a new loan home).

My old man is in at night and out in the day but thats his routine all year round.

My other boy is still out 24/7 but rugged. He will be coming in the end of this month. Unless we have a heat wave *prays* :D

Down here in the south it's been quite mild and damp so have lots of grass. Only have four at our mini yard and all are still out, my arab does get a little feed pm but they are all unrugged and we hope to keep them out until Oct/Nov if possible.

All mine are still out. Although did chuck lightweights on them last night..
Hoping we make it into October before they start coming in, we where quite late having them out 24/7 this year.

My oldie is in at night with a nice wool rug on!! and out in day with a LW but it is fleece lined considered attaching neck to it this morn but thought that its a bit too early...he hhas had it on for last couple of weeks. I have heard on weather that is is going to be around 3degrees on fri night here so he may have to have his LW stable rug on. The others who are younger are all out unrugged even at night...they have a nack of trashing rugs!

Mild and damp here in the SE, so my TB and WB still out 24/7 unrugged - although I know this is considered VERY mean by some on the yard! Hey ho...they are very happy and both hate being in so leaving them out as much as poss!!

Yes, all out 24/7, 3 rugged at night and NF pony naked. The have stood in a couple of times due to heavy rain but I am trying to preserve the hay stock we have! All having Allen & Page Fast Fibre feed twice a day - which seems to keep weight on, even the 27 year old.

Will bring in if weather becomes really wet/cold or when I have to clip the hunters.

Mine will hopefully winter out again but has had l/w rug on for the past two nights. Cold, wet and windy here and after two days of him making himself 'mud rugs' he came in on Monday shivering like mad :( rug will stay on unless weather drastically improves!

mine livse out 24/7 365 - full clipped and hunting from field in winter - ad lib hay and good rug keep her warm - she wont even stand in the field shelter

Yup - mine are all out unrugged and will stay that way until the summer fields turn squidgy and the grass runs out, then they'll be closer to the farm for winter with add lib haylage and access to barns for shelter - the TB's may get a light weight rug if it gets very wet, cold and stormy just to keep the water off as they're not the best at standing somewhere dry!!

All mine are out unrugged and full clipped my cob at the weekend too. Feeling a bit guilty about that one though as he was in the shelter this morning. Did go out with rug for TB last night but too windy and all of them pratting about so decided that not worth the risk as foal and yearling galloping around like loonies. Will probably rug cob when I get home. They all lived out last year in deep snow with no ill effects except massive feed and hay bills!

1x cob, 2 x WB, 3 x Standardbreds all out naked - and will stay that way until they HAVE to come in when the ground's too wet, then they'll be in a barn and stables and the mammoth mucking out task will commence :(

Currently only the 2 TBs and the *****land are in parttime - the TBs because they're in work and the mini cos she gets too bloomin fat on thin air when out fulltime.

Apparently we are going to have snow by the end of this month!! winds from somewhere are going to be coming over and it's going to be 4degree in Sussex on Friday night

Brought him in on Monday night, back out during the day - its been really windy here and I pretty sure he would have stayed out happily in a lightweight but all the other horses were brought in so he had to come too :(

Out and unrugged and staying that way...all winter.
May put a rug on one or two if they look a bit chilly when it does get properly cold.

Out all the time. He's had a light rain rug on for the last few days purely because it's raining (obviously) and I want to ride so it's for convience. He'll be clipped next month and then will be rugged as required. I bought him in last year for a week when the snow was very bad...never ever again!! He was pure evil, had me over, the yard owner, her daughter and her daughters friend...he absolutely hated being stuck in a stable overnight and became a nightmare so come hell or high water he'll be out 24/7 from now on!! Luckily we're just putting the finishing touches to a field shelter so no reason for him to be at all.

You know if they are cold because they keep rolling in the mud.

Blimey my girl must be freezing then!

LOL

Both of mine still unrugged and out. I am moving them on Saturday and the yard we are going to has loads of grass as it hasn't had horses on it for 2 years! They will come in at night when it gets really nasty!
