DO NOT TAKE SUPPLEMENTS BEFORE YOU HAVE A BLOOD TEST!.

Have the blood test. MAKE them do a full blood panel, thyroid, vitamin D and B12. Then get the results and check yourself. Vit D needs to be 125 or higher, B12 1000 at least.
Do not accept supplements from your GP. They are crap and wont work. If you are deficient, and 75% of people in the UK are deficient in vitamin D so you are more likely to be than not, then join the Facebook groups and follow the protocols. Its not expensive and the difference it will make is absolutely staggering.
Having lost a good part of my life to this I am always happy to talk to anyone about it and/or point you in the right direction because if someone hadnt done similar for me a couple of years ago I would still be limping on dragging myself around more dead than alive. You dont realise how bad things are until you start to get better in most cases.
Any woman around the menopause age feeling sluggish and tired should demand a thyroid test and then make sure if they have an issue it’s properly medicated and monitored the difference you will feel getting an under active thyroid properly treated is huge .
Which group? I was low and take vit D
