Just put sheets on tonight, West Yorks, cos on a cold blustery hillside and don't want to get a thick winter coat. Remember this time last year it was all mud fever and rain coats lol.

haha tugging Rio has been rugged for weeks now at night in a thematex as he has been shivering in the morning (not quite used to the sudden temperature drops of the UK) but my others arent and wont until its getting down to 5 degrees ish...or when i get cold

I also looked in here to see what on earth "tugging" meant as I assumed it wasn't the erm rude thing...
In answer, I rug on and off all summer (no filling waterproof rugs at night if a bit chilly or wet) so I never "start" rugging again!

Just started popping on a thin rug when i give him his supper at 10pm as its cold here at that time of night and his ears were cold lol. He is stabled zt night all year round due to only having 1 acre!

Me too. He has a lightweight on tonight but was thinking maybe start rugging up a bit more to maybe a medium as we are moving yards (yay!
) right up in the hills in the lake district.

Like others my 2 TB's have had rugs on & off all summer when needed. Tonight the old boy is wearing a no fill & the youngster is wearing a light fill.

no rugs yet, need my girly to grow a bit more winter coat so she can be fully clipped-she is getting hot in work as her coat is just starting to thicken up but i don't want to have to clip again in a couple of weeks

Yes, either cotton sheets or fleeces at the moment. Fleeces tonight as a bit nippy here.
They had lightweights with necks on in the field today, but fly rugs the day before and lightweights with no necks the day before that.
Weather is as predictable as ever!
