Anywhere else been hit by the crazy hailstorm??!

I'm tellin' you, something serious is going to happen - I don't think some of those films are too far off the mark. I simply can not believe how much the climate has changed in my adult life and I'm only 30!!

Came back to edit as I just remembered that I am 31 (in December so you'd think I had got used to it by now) :(

Basking in28c here in north Wales, but my 13 yr old has gone to Alton towers and some kids got stuck on a ride when it broke down with heavy rain, all got off but they are soaked to the skin and coming back early school aborted the trip at 2pm

:eek::eek: its like the begining to that film The Day After Tomorrow

its thundering with us now, and has been raining since about 12, thankfully we got back from our hack just before the rain hit but it doesnt look like its to get any better :/

That is exactly what I thought. Just got the horses in in time but they were crazy scared. The tb was in the back of the stable shaking. Was like bricks coming down. My car now has marks all over it and massive dents and so does the horsebox :(

Leicestershire weather update.
The sky is blue and the sun is shining! Almost feels like I imagined what happened earlier.

Jeeezus! How scary!!
My daughter called at lunchtime, she is at the University of Birmingham and said terrific thunderstorms. No mention of hail though!!
Very humid in Kent. I have a new livery, so the horses are all a bit nuts today! That hail would finish them off!!

Tornado ripped through the livery yard my nags are at... We're incredibly lucky no person or horse has been hurt. The damage to the buildings, horse boxes/trailers YO's house is just awful. Can't quite believe it at the moment! :(

At work there was the most unbelievable storm with proper lightening bolts, and it was so dark. Then the rain came with really strong winds. Amazing to watch but really made me realise how changeable weather can be... It's glorious now!

Just seen on the news that a tornado went through sleaford !!!!!

Weird weather.

How ever I have seen pictures of snow in June, so I suppose the weather is ever changing, we used to have a tropical climate !!!!!!

We saw horrific black skies, thunder and lightening, but only a tiny splash of rain. The temperature and humidity is awful, though.
So pleased no people or horses injured.

Any updates on the Richmond area?

My friends sister lost her roof and her chicken coop, with chickens!!!! She saw the tornado coming and hid behind the sofa. It uprooted a 40 foot tree too. I was in the car during the hail but weirdly my car doesn't have a mark on it!!! Pretty scary and it made me feel very insignificant and small, if that makes sense. I was north of Leicester at the time on my way to a patient.

We had hail, large but not a big as those in OP picture but the rain was horrendous. The rain lasted an hour (1030-1130am) & when I got to the yard it was all under 12" of water. The drains couldn't cope & as it was draining away it was being topped up from water running of the fields. The house was flooded, stables under water, things floating around the tack room....a bl@@dy nightmare. Couldn't pump it away as there was no where to pump to, everything was overflowing. Eventually by around 10pm the water was gone & we'd cleaned up. Stables have new beds & horses were brought in.

Insurance Co brilliant & sent out a van with dehumidifiers & water vacs etc for the house. House is alot drier now. Carpets will need replacing, furniture saved & possibly some plasterwork will need sorting out as everything dries out. Could have been worse though....phew!
