.....what is your favorite horse related thing to do?

Mine is banks in a straw bed - have to get them packed right in and level, if I have time, get quite OCD about this - then resent putting horse in only to mess it up and poo on it within 3 seconds!

Also, love making feeds up - Ziggy has 2 carrots and 1 apple in each feed which have to be sliced just so - as if she cares.

Sooo please tell me it's not just me?
 
I love to groom my girlie and I love mucking out when I have all the time in the world to do it so I can faff about scrubing the floor and buildign my bed perfect and I love just sitting in the field in the summer watching the horses play games and graze
 
Y'know, I really don't think I enjoy all of the chores, as such - I've been doing them so long I just go on autopilot without thinking about it. I do like brushing out my mare's tail when it is all clean and silky - though that's probably cos it's usually such a nightmare!

My fave thing is sitting in the stable with a good book on a lazy summer saturday afternoon, listening to my mare snoring away.

paddock maintanence, then I can watch and listen to the birds, examine hoof prints, day dream, enjoy him grazing peacefully. I do quite like grooming, although he does not like being groomed. So you are not the only one, and your horse's beds all banked up sound lovely. My step daughter does that for hers, the banks have to be perfect. You are perfectly normal!
 
getting yard and stables immaculate. poo-picking fields so they're immaculate (sad, i know.) Washing, grooming and plaiting ready for a comp so they look really snazzy.
kissing the bit on the side of their muzzle that feels just like hot velvet. Mmmm.
 
on days when time is unlimited, i love to spend ages jst grooming him, a really scratchy groom. and give him a really good clean up. even tho he goes staight back out into a bog at the mo!! in summer, i love to poo pick and clear all the field, it feels so satisfying to see it all clean :-) and i love taking my bridle all to pieces and giving it a really good clean, sitting in the sun while my boy grazes nearby.
 
I was going to say that too, kissing her muzzle, its soo soft and kissable! Apart from that I can't say I really love mucking out or trying to get her clean! I quite like sitting in the sun and cleaning my tack in the summer but that seems like it may never happen!

I love mucking out and the bed pretty but my fave thing is sorting the muck heap so it in straight lines. I like each step to be level and flat - sad I know
 
I sort of feel like I should say something manly like; 'shooting rabbits that eat their grass', or 'bashing in fence posts', but actually I really enjoy grooming, I find it a great way to bond with H and it is helped by the fact he really enjoys it. That and poo picking the field on a nice spring or summers day.

Ooh I love that one too - don't think she appreciates my cold hands down there quite so much though!
