What would be a fair price for the following horse:
6 y.o. welsh sec C/D 14.3hh gelding, black with white blaze and three white socks of unknown breeding but pretty and nicely put together.
Very green indeed, basically been in a field all his life and only started "proper" work in December. He has popped over a teeny jump on one occasion and was very calm and sensivle about it
Lacks manners, but is a quick learner, he's not nasty, just never had to be well mannered so is a bit pushy and bargy at the moment
Moves nicely and carries himself in a natural outline
Very safe hack, good on his own, in company and you can canter away from him on another horse without him getting silly.
Not a good traveller - he's never had to!
Had to be twitched to have front shoes on - he's fine to pick his feet up and have them fiddled with but had his first pair of front shoes on a couple of weeks ago and found that an ordeal
Clipping - he was done whilst twitched for the farrier (only a low chaser) so don't know if he'd be good or not.
Have been asked by a friend for a price but he's hard because he's a very safe confidence giving ride but he's done nothing and is green as grass so on one hand he's worth very little but on the over hand he's a good hack. What do you think?
Thank you
