Arabian horse face shape

I have 3 Arabs ( I’ve tried to upload photos of the other 2 but the files are to big) I love a dished face, I have 2 with dished faces and one that isn’t to much. I think this one has a lovely face.
Very pretty colour but far too extreme a dish for me. I like a slight dish only. The stallion I really loved was Gerwazy owned by the Lindsays. He was 18 when I saw him in the flesh in the show ring at the Royal Show, many, many years ago. His movement was fantastic. I did send a mare to him but she didn't take.

My old boy didn't used to have a pronounced dish either but he was from racing lines. What I noticed in Dubai was that the majority of Arab horses there did not have really dished faces unless specifically bred for showing :) I have to say that I do prefer a straighter profile and taller/finer build but I am bias from my old guy and I am used to endurance/racing types.

Love Arab threads so I can see everyone's beautiful ponies!

Now that I think about it, I was on holidays years back in Egypt and went on a short trail ride in the desert (was good fun). From what I remember the arabs there had small dishes.

Slightly off topic but the French “Arabian” racehorses you refer to are Anglo-Arabian, which is a stand-alone breed created from crossing TBs and Arabians... they are not meant to be pure Arabians at all, the minimum to be registered on the main stud book is 25% Arabian, and those with less than that can be registered on the complementary ledger of the stud book...

The situation I'm talking about ''Amer'' and similar French flat race stallions.
