I haven't forgotten either, had it on my calender for ages...

Ive never really watched the Olympics or the Paralympics before, and Ive never watched the opening and closing ceremonies, but this year Ive watched heaps of it, not sure if its because I now live alone or because its been to hot to do anything else,(im in Spain) but Ive really enjoyed it...

I did wonder why is was separate, but I now understand its 2 different things,

Yes they are. It will not be given the same amount of time on the TV, it will be a token amount. Like most things in life for a disabled person.

Really looking forward to watching the dressage on telly - hope it has good coverage.
BTW, did you know that they're called the paralympics because they run parallel to the olympics?
