Are we still in HW's in March?

What weight of rug do we all wear in March? Are we going towards the MW?

Entirely depends on the weather, IMO!

Yes, HW if it is freezing cold - if we have a heatwave then something considerably lighter

mines in a lightweight at the mo - had his mediumweight on a couple of weeks ago but he gets really hot (funny animal

) so unless temps take a nosedive again he will prob stay in this till he goes out 24/7

Surely the month is immaterial? It depends on the weather and the horse.......and common sense!

If you are looking to buy a new rug I would go with a MW - you will probably get more use out of it during the year. I don't actually buy HW rugs, just stick a stable rug under her MW and it is just as warm.

I would go for the m weight and double rug, if you have to, but you will now, get more use out m, rug, I reckon

Taz is still double rugged he's that cold and he's only chaser clipped he's in a full neck hw in the field with a medium weight under rug and in the stable the same but with no neck as its a different rug lol and we're only in edinburgh

I would LIKE to suggest MW, but sitting here, looking out the window at the falling snow - which is forecast for the whole morning................
