Arena mirrors

Arena mirrors should be contructed with a solid non warping backing material, such as metal. Wood can and does warp over time, and the slighest wonkiness becomes very noticeable when viewing from 20m.

These are my mirrors, who were supplied and installed by Mirrors for Training.

It can get very windy here, and these mirrors have stood up well for 4 or so years. There were a number of cheaper suppliers at the time, but further investigations revealed that corners were being cut in design and construction.

Mirrors are great! I hope you get sorted with one or more soon :).

Can't help with suggestions but people often say that the installation is expensive, sometimes more so than the mirrors.. just to say, don't be tempted to skimp on that because as well as the obvious thing about them needing to stay put, they need to be at the correct angle to be useful! Don't expect you need a pro do to it, but just take plenty of care ;)

One of the arenas I've been hiring this winter has a full set of mirrors (lovely) but you can't see a lot from the far end of the school, the angle is slightly wrong and you can't see the horse's legs (not so lovely :o)

Have a look on the BD forum. Quite a few people seem to have had problems with Mirrors for Training. Equestrian Reflections seem to get good reviews on there but I believe they only do supply and installation, not supply only. Would be interested to hear what you choose as hope to be thinking about some this year.
