Hi Guys,

My other half has very kindly (for Christmas!) picked me up a pair of Ariat Bromont boots.
I was very surprised how cheap they were (£166.50) and they came from a local shop.
I asked him (& the shop) for the insulated version - for obvious reasons! However, how can I tell if they are the insulated version?? They seem very reasonably priced.... so are they perhaps the non insulated version?
The box doesn't state 'insulated' - it stated Bromont Tall H20. So how can I tell??

Thanks!

I have both - I'm pretty sure the insultated ones have a little tab on them saying something like thinsulate, or similar. They are at the yard so I can't check now though.

I've had mine quite a while - they have sort of purpley checked lining, whereas the non insulated ones have a browny check lining. The leather on the leg also feels thicker because of the insulation.

Ah, thanks for this. Have just looked & these have a 'browny' check lining. There is no mention of Thinsulate & nothing on the box. However, there is definately some padding & also within the 'foot'. I imagine they will be OK for Winter use.

I'm planning on having them for hunting & competing. Not yard use / general riding. I have the Ariat Arctic Tall for this. They just aren't smart enough for Hunting / Competing. Although I did use them in the really wet weather recently as I decided waterproof & warm was more important than how smart I looked!!

Thanks - at least that explaines the 'cheaper' price.
