I do have a nice pair of long leather boots.....but its taken me about 2 years for them to be almost comfortable...

Ok...I don't wear them that often because they were so bloody uncomfortable....so for general hacking I just use my old pair of saxon equileather ones because they are sooooo comfy.

But...I want a pair of Bromonts...so I can use them for general riding and showing. Am happy to spend the money IF they are nice soft leather and IF it doesnt take several years to break them in......

Are they nice and squashy and comfy or will I have to develop mahoosive blisters in the breaking in process?

I love my pair, the 1st time I put them on they were perfect. Never hard or needed breaking in I use mine for lessons and competing but not out hacking as I want them to stay smart.

Mine were lovely and they lasted 16 months wearing them everyday, riding and mucking out (not through mud though). They were soft and comfy right from the start.

I've bought the H2O version now and they are also very warm.

I agree - mine were super comfy from day one and keep my toes warm with a single pair of normal socks in all but the coldest weather (and I suffer terribly from cold fingers and toes!). I'd planned to keep them for special occasions but they are so comfy that I wear them all the time now.

Baaa! I love mine too - I bought 2 pairs, one for winter and one for summer. I wear mine for riding day to day as well as at shows. Provided you don't wear them for yard work too they will last ages, mine still look good 2 years on.

I found them comfy right from the start, although it will take them a day or 2 to drop slightly - they pinched behind the knee the first time I wore them.

Like milliepops mine took a couple of days to drop but apart from that they were perfect! Originally they were supposed to be for competing but they are so comfy I wear them for everyday riding too! I never get cold feet and they always look smart at a show. Best thing I've ever bought I think!

I'm getting the chocolate ones for Christmas so I can keep the black ones for competing in! a couple of wears and you'll never want to ride in anything else!

AMAZING boots! so soft and comfy, and if you get the insulated ones, they are SOOOO warm!!

Mine were spot on from the word go! Lovely and soft, didn't need breaking in, I wear them everyday at the yard for riding and general yard stuff and I have been doing for about a year now, they're hardly showing any wear and tear.

I adore my Bromonts. I got my first pair at HOYS a couple of years ago, and they are still looking tremendous (used them for showing a few weeks ago, quick bit of polish and they look like new again).

I have two pairs, the black ones and the brown ones (I am a sad case who matches boots to outfits), and they are both super.

I can't speak highly enough of these boots. I got mine last year, the chocolate, insulated ones. The first time I put them one I couldn't believe how comfortable they are-they don't need wearing in. They are also my warmest boots. I do use mine for yard work as well as competitions. Do invest in some. I'm saving up for a black pair now as well.

lovely. i had the insulated ones and so warm and comfy. perfect for long skinny legs like mine.

my advice would be not too pay too much. I got mine for £140 as played 2 shops against each other.

I got the insulated ones last year and love them

They keep my feet toasty warm, they did take a week or so to drop down and did dig in the back on my knee of a few days but they are super comfy now. Only thing is my laces have broken

They are a dream boot, quite my favourite. I bought black pair 2 years ago and still fab. The moment i wore them they were comfortable, no wearing in required. Would recommend them above any other boot i have bought/worn.
