Ariat Grasmere £139 !!!!!!!

I was looking at buying a pair of Toggi Calgarys as they are more my budget tbh, how much better are these than them? I need them for actually riding in during the winter, as chaps and boots aren't cutting it. I am a six in Ariat I think, and have largish calves - would a wide be ok for me?

Dot2dot - re your question - my grasmeres have not dropped much if at all. However they have softened around the top, so they don't dig in the back of the knee any more. Hope that helps.
Kidsmund - thanks for the tip re the Windermeres - good to know!

My bank balance is now crying - however I needed new riding boots and new waterproof boots - soooo....kill 2 birds with one stone ;)

How big are everyone's calves, if I buy a wide will I regret it? :o

My bank really can't take this, not on the run up to xmas, but I've wanted some of these for years it seems!

hehe.I thought about just getting wide ones and wearing massive socks but I know I shouldn't :o

Balls I've just clicked submit order

this forum is bad for my bank balance! OP should be ashamed of herself, I'm eating smartprice cornflakes for dinner for the rest of the month now, buying ariats should not be done in the same week as a vet visit

Gah! Me too! Here's hoping my calves don't get miraculously skinnier!

Although you've actually reminded me that my insurance still owe me over £1200 for vet and alternative treatments, just need them to cough up now......

No narrow or regular in my size (4 1/2), gutted, as my Dublin River boots are not waterproof :0(

Quite fancy their Dakota breeches tho, does anyone know what their fit is like? I'm fairly tall and fairly skinny but with muscley thighs!

Hi, I'm afraid I'm the exact opposite of fairly tall and fairly skinny, but I have purchased the Dakota breeches twice in the past. Not very helpful, but I would say they are 'true to size'.
However, I would never pay £49.99 for them. They are nice 'every day' type jods and I have been lucky enough to purchase when they have been discounted and bogof - I think I paid about £30 for two pairs last year when they were bogof.

Thank you for posting this bargain

My feet have just been soaked whilst poo picking and my muck boots are too big, so it was wonderful to come home, dry out and find bargain waterproof boots :D :D

I have 15" calves and have a pair of wide fitting ones as they were all that was available in my size (6) at a bargain price a year ago. I think they look fine but will probably go for regular next time if there's a choice.

Oh that is so tempting!! And I have a perfectly good pair of Windermeres and a new pair of muck boots....

Yet I'm still drawn to go and see if they have my size.....
