Not sure whether to buy the Ariat Bromont boots, or the Mountain Horse Richmond High Rider?

I have a big calf and short legs, and the mountain horse have a wider range of widths, and I'm not sure if I like the suede on the ariats, as may wear?

Does anyone have the Mountain Horse Richmond ones? if so, good and bad, points please?

Sorry, can't help re the MH Richmonds but to answer for the Bromonts - I've had one pair since they first came out and they are still going strong. I wear them daily and the suede has gone shiny where my leg is against the horse but you can't see it. I have NO complaints with them at all.

I have pretty standard length/width legs and didn't find the MH boots comfortable when I tried them. Ariats fitted perfectly and felt like they were already broken in straight away :)

I'm an avid ariat fan, however I'm a traitor in the sense that my competiton boots are the MH Richmonds. I prefered them to the fit of the bromonts, they're so comfy and easy to ride in. I bought them second hand (from a friend - worn twice and dropped too much as she's quite tall), and have worn them quite regularly (and up to 7 hours or so on a day!) and find them really comfy and professional. I'll try and find some pics of me riding in them.

None of my decent pics have good boot shots in so excuse the crappy styles etc -

I have the MH boots. They are v comfy and smart. They have lasted years as I had them when they were first launched. They are much more fitted at the ankle than Ariat . I would go for the regular leg length if you can as you get heel lifters included, rather than the short length. I'd have the MH supremes if I needed a new pair.
