Todays update...... Armas is on the mend and hopefully should return home tomorrow. However we are still waiting on the results of the blood tests to ascertain why there was blood in his urine during the time he had the choke. The hospital does not believe the two were related however the stress of the choke could have bought on the symptoms from piroplasmoses this a tick related disease. He did have some small ticks a few weeks before. So I am waiting for the blood tests to come back for a conclusion.
However I don't think the blood in his urine is related to piroplasmoses as had no symptoms of this disease.
I had also asked the vet to make sure he has no ulcers as they were scoping him. That came back negative
(His urine returned to normal after arriving at the hospital. I think the blood was caused by the shock and shaking during treatment from the first vet )
