You can sit and worry all you like about the things you are frightened will happen. It makes no difference though and its allways the stuff you didnt see coming that floors you.
Look after your health and fitness - getting older sucks but if you stay healthy you’ll be in way better shape to cope with it. Wish I’d have followed that advice earlier, or even now tbh!
Too much to list, but for horses - that the majority of badly behaved horses have a physical difficulty and that strong riders can persuade them to work through it when they actually need help.
To try not to give a crap and do what I want to do for a change. Not to swap My happiness for someone else’s neediness and focus on my goals and not sabotage myself for other people.
I have also learned that anything can happen at any time and you need to make the most of what you have as it’s never guaranteed to stick.
More of an observation really, that there is no substitute for good basic horsemanship, common sense and an understanding of equine behaviour which seems to be sadly lacking these days.

Don't put off plans for things you want to do, do it now. One day you will not be able to do it anymore so make sure you have memories and not regrets that you wish you'd done it.
This is really inspiring. Just what I needed this evening.
I have learnt the best way to make something happen is to break it down into small steps and take one at a time so that the efforts you make are rewarded in the long term.
Stop saving things for later: wear your good pants, use the ‘special’ crockery, book that trip-of-a-lifetime, quit the job you hate, have a crack at something new. Do it now.
Trust your instincts. Don't be afraid to voice your opinion if required. Your get one chance at life, make it a good one and live it to the full. Don't be afraid to make difficult decisions, it is nobody else's business what you chose to do.
I’ve chilled as I’ve got older, realised that just because things are urgent to others, doesn’t have to be for me.
My Motos, which I try to follow:
Never assume.
Keep an open and enquiring mind.
Keep learning and live your life.
Listen to and love your horse.
