Oh dear, today is the day.. There is a horse there that I WANT and possibly NEED. However, I still have others to sell and really should wait until I have lightened the load a bit. If I miss him altogether I'll be sad and cross, if I get outbid then that's life, if I BUY him it'll be pretty good I hope. Aaargh, should I man up and just leave it and something else will come up or should I just darn well go and bid for him??

I have bacon sarnies or toast and marmalade with tea for opinions.

If he's what you really really want and he goes to someone else he's only going to get either more expensive or "ruined" for what you want to do...

I'd go - if he comes at the right price then it's meant to be.

Fate!! I love that argument. Bacon sarnie for you. If someone else buys him then for more than I'm prepared to pay then good luck to them, he will make a nice horse. However, if I don't even go then I'll regret it for aaages.

Ok cool (just don't tell anyone) it's 178, he's coming from Yorkshire I think so not one you'll know. I saw him at the Feb sale but didn't have any fundage that day, he caught my eye and I have been looking out for him ever since.

I say go for it too :D If he goes for more than you're willing to pay then thats life, but if he didn't and you hadn't gone you would kick yourself for ever.

Good luck can't wait to hear how you get on :)

You'll be two minutes from where I work so i'll send "cheap" vibes your way lol

Oooh, thank you! Should be around 2pm I think so pop over at lunchtime!

Thanks for everyone's vibes, I think the general consensus is "go for it" and so I will and when I turn up with another loonybin tb and my OH asks WTF I'm up to I shall blame all you lovely lot. Hurrah! Must wear best "I'm not in the market for a horse" clothes.

I was just looking through the past sale results. It makes me sad that they go for so little:(. If I went I'd be trying to buy everything:o I daren't even go to my local sales in York for fear of coming home with some scraggy coloured yearling that I really don't need!!

I know, it's heart wrenching. Particularly ones who have won an awful lot of money. Seems so sad. Although at least they send them to a place where you should have tb enthusiasts. The price they pay for entry fee, sellers premium etc means that the low priced ones only make around £100 profit, and you still have to take fuel and transport costs from that! Bonkers. It's kind of like giving them away for free but you know that someone actually wants them. I'll let you all know, I'm leaving home now!

*nervous and wishing I hadn't eaten that bacon sarnie after all* :(

Weeeee-ell... Darn that nervous twitch, I GOT HIM!!
