Echo was born Sat. 3.52am.
all went well for delivery but mare taking time to get over shock! She is letting Echo suckle but will aviod her if she is moving about!
Vet thinks Echo may need shock wave or corrective farriery re her front legs and also as they are long and weak (doesn't act like it today!!!) they have to stay in stable for a week... what are your opinions??

She looks beautiful. Maisie's legs were a little like that for the first couple of days but she is fine now. How are you? Are you still in shock? Did you manage to see the birth from the start?

thank you - yes very tired and not really in the real world at mo! not napped since Friday afternoon so will be hitting the sack shortly!

Saw it all and OH took pictures of the whole process - not sure if anyone be interested in this?!

Just worried that the vet is wanting to do things on foal if not needed and just giving the time to grow and straighten...

So any more signs from your girlie yet?!!

Hey congratulations she's adorable....mine arrived this morning (well the middle of the night

Thank you. Dad is 15.3 and mum is 14.2 but looks like foal has taken more of dad... so hoping for 15 +?

shes stunning and has stilts for legs!!! she may be a throw back to big horsey lol. Lots of thr right food and stuff should sort but im really no expert... in fact i still have no foal.. see told you ya'd beat me :-)

What a beauty, I'd kill to have legs that long.

I'm no expert on legs but my own foal was born yesterday morning and she was a little down on her rear fetlocks. Vet just said "not too much exercise" and she looks like she is strengthening by the hour. She is free to roam in the yard which has a grass area attached to it so she can't go wild.

Thank you! all ok this morning. foal running around mum full of the joys of spring!

The left fore comes out slightly from the knee... going to do some research on this I think...!
