Hi,

Am considering a Kelpie mainly for Agility. Have had Border Collies in the past, also gundogs, so used to dogs with brains!

Has anyone had experience of this breed, good or bad?

Thanks.

My farrier has one that does agility and it is the fastest thing.. doing really well.
Very easy to train and it seems to think a little more than my border collie.:D

I have a Kepie cross. Totally agree with Mightymax, she is very quick and really easy to train. We have done agility with her. She comes out with the horses, and will stay on pavement, stay away from anything I tell her to.

We do need to be firm with her at times or she'll take the mick, but as long as you are, she is very responsive to what we has her to do.

We have one at club!

Intense dogs but wonderful at agility or anything that requires speed.

Generally not great with small kids but not aggressive.

As long as you can offer the stimulation and exercise they are awesome.
