Slightlyconfused
Go away, I'm reading
We have a 15 month old cocker spaniel bitch who isn't that well.
We were told that mum and dad were health tested and clear. Saw the paper work and have a copy somewhere but with house work, walls being knocked down have lost it somewhere and breeder mobile is no longer connecting.
Now she was spayed in June, just had her jab a month ago.
Had the nip Tuck for the excess skin folds op two weeks ish ago.
She has had a temp since, threw up once after drinking out of a manky puddle then fine thought it was because she had eaten something she shouldn't have. Has been very tired, sleeping alot and just more cuddly, very hot to touch and her eye, well one white eye we can see and gums are red. (though the have settles down a lot)
Had bloods at vets on Friday and came up at very very low red and white blood cells but with the high temperature they are bit confused.
They are talking about autoimmune but the high temp is throwing them off as it doesn't match the bloods.
So she is on new antibiotics, steroids for five days then check up beginning of next week and repeat bloods and temperature and take it from there.
She is insured (moot point anyway we would do anything for her)
Has anyone else had any experience with this?
Hoping it's just an odd infection and clears up and she gets back to her bratty self.
