I'll explain what I mean!
I avoid calling/buying any pet with a name beginning with S as they all seem to die before their time.
For example, my first pony was called Smokey. He got out of his field and was hit by a drunk driver and had to be PTS.
Our first dog when I got married was called Sandy and had to be PTS at 11 years due to a tumour on her spine.
We have also had a rabbit called Shadow, a guinea pig called Snoopy, 2 goldfish called Spot and Stripe who all died before they should and I believe a hamster as well but can't remember its name. Think it did begin with an S though.
I don't like changing names if they already have names and refuse to name beginning with an S. Any pet that doesn't have a name beginning with S goes on to live a long and happy life. (For those of you who are thinking I should be reported for cruelty to animals)
Was at one point wondering if I was next as my name begins with S.
