Has anyone used this as fly spray?does it work Or is it just a myth!
Does seem to work, but I find it solidifies really easily and so spend most of my time with it in my bra or waistband trying to melt it to sort on the horse!
We tried it and didn;t seem to make a difference with the flies![]()
Yes it is good stuff (the green bottle), BUT I did have to use some stronger stuff when the flies were really bad.
My lad has been getting bites on his privates, so I'm using SSS at the moment.
You must look for the 'Avon Skin So Soft Original', dry oil spray.
Do you not then end up with an oily horse?
Apparently The Marines have Avon SSS as part of their kit/medical bag to repel flies, midges etc. I've always preferred this spray to 'horse sprays' you buy in a tack shop. Just make sure you buy the right one, as I think there are different varients within the range. You must look for the 'Avon Skin So Soft Original', dry oil spray. If it goes hard pop in a jug of hand hot water and it will go back to liquid! Sorry about the above post, I intended to answer a previous post. (I'm not too clever on this website ! lol)
