Had the day off work today, went down to turn out this am to be greeted by a full carpark and lots of upset people.
They only took the really decent saddles, forced over 30 tack room doors, several very new Fylde Showing saddles.
Poor horse I turn out from this barn would'nt come out of her stable, scared of the police tape!
I have moaned recently about being right down on the muddy bottom yard - well, thank god I stayed there - the thieves never even went down there so our 10 tackrooms were untouched.
Got home about 9.30 to find our village had a power cut
Had loads to do, could'nt do anything! No internet, heating, hot water - so back to the yard and went and camped out in the horsebox! Least I had a tv and gas fire! Mum took pity and took me for lunch, then back to the yard to ride and teaching a couple of the kids there.
Got back and some of the upset people had started having a few beers this morning, next thing some one has been injured, not sure of the details, but horse had reared and lunged at its owner in the stable, knocked her over and stood on her face
She refused to go to hospital, I did'nt interfere, will have to hope there is no serious damage!
