I had 3 horses when i had my first child, i now have 3 kids and 5 horses. I had all 3 of mine close together, i did put my horses on hold for a while when i had my kids but 3 weeks after my third child i was riding out again. My husband sound just like yours he moans all the time about the horses but i just go and do what i want anyway. My kids fit in with me and around the horses i still go of most weekends to compete so hubby has to to his bit. I love my kids but i am not just a mum, sorry if that sounds really bad
 
Couldn't you have 2 horses & no kids??? I think you'd get quite a good price on E Bay for your existing one???

(Joking....nearly 36 and not at all broody, altho now getting obsessively horse broody...)

I agree, you can be a good mum and do other things. That's why I wanted them close together so that I could do the baby thing and then get on with being a mum with hobbies - rather than stopping/starting. It would be heartbreaking to get either another horse or get Fin back and then go through the possibility of having to put him back out of loan. I'd rather wait until he was back for good.

I would want both, but if you cant have that you need to think what you want most(both for now and your future).
If you get a horse now and then cant afored another child down the line you will resent the horse.If you have another baby now youjust push back you horse things a few years.

Tough one, and only you can answer it!
