I think I'm on week 7 anyway!

Another uneventful week but filled with niggly things. Had to have vet out to jab her as her seasons are all over the place and he thinks she might have an ovarian cyst.

Today was the turn of the back lady who reckons she's grown another inch since she saw her in March

Horsey needs to realise I'm short and stumpy and pack in the growing pronto

On the backing front, pilot is now properly on board but still on a leadrein, which, at 30 something must be pretty embarrassing

Hopefully pilot will come off the lead rein this week as soon as his parachute has arrived. Dummy pilot has been left outside her door to taunt her when she's in - must be some sort of weird pony psychology

I'd like to say that I'm looking forward to getting on but right now, I'd be lying

I am so glad that you are taking things slowly! I get fed up with adverts that promise to back your horse in 4 weeks. Slow and steady wins the race

Have you been riding her with other horses?
I only ask as I find it the best way to make them ride with other horses when they are young, as when they grow up they are more likely to be able to cope in stressful situations

How big is your horse now? by the sounds of it, pretty huge!

I find - just when things are going swimmingly they erupt! Various courses of action - rodeo bucking, charging forward, nappy/rearing etc etc. They usually have something up their sleeve - but generally doesnt last long. Just dont be complacent - ever.... then maybe you chap is an angel - unlike most of mine!
