Bad Day

Well he's gone poor chap.

So on to the next one , it's out there somewhere I wonder what it's doing today .
A few days to recover then I'll start looking for it.

at least he is now out of sight poor fella. This pet ownership really does take its toll.
I had my dog put down last year and still can't bring myself to get another as I never want to be that attached to anything again - it is really hard.
Hope you are feeling a little better now.

Brave decision, well made. Nobody would think twice about the same decision if it was a dog with behaviour issues causing a danger, doesn't happen so often with horses I suppose but they have the capacity to cause so much carnage. Thinking of you, still not an easy call to make and I respect you for it.

really sorry :( you have my sympathies. i had a horse who had these unpredictable, uncontrollabe episodes. it was like a switch flicked in his head and he lost his mind for a short time. i made the same decision as you have. after some time you will start to look back and wonder 'what if..', but deep down you will know the brave choice you made was the right one. hugs xxxx

I think with a horse like this sadly its the only responsible decision but that's not going to make it any less traumatic.
You may have saved yours or someone else's life by doing this.
I hope you find the perfect horse for you and are able to enjoy him rather than have "maybe's" in the back of your mind.
Hugs xx

Long ago someone bought a lovely mare for me to compete. Every now and then she would flip and lose the plot completely, resulting in some spectacular displays. She was pts. Turned out she had a brain tumour. No other symptoms.

Devastating, but as as much as it would have been if someone or another horse had been injured, nor indeed if CF had done serious damage to himself.

Hugs hunny.

They have not been for him yet I wish they would .
He also got to go in the skip at the kennels as he was injected and will have to go to be burnt I am trying not to think of that I have always had them shot they get fed to the Hounds I know it makes no difference but I hate the thought of him a skip.
However hey ho it was my choice to get in done last night I could have had him shot today .

Skip or hounds, it make no odds to him. Having an injection was the best option for him at the time, i expect the safest for the vet as well. Put it out of your head, he's safe & it matter's not what happens to his body now.

I hope that you are feeling better today.

Best wishes.

I might I am not sure yet but yes if you hear of anything please pm me.
I may buy a Tb out of training for fun ( I was thinking of this anyway ).
I may buy a made hunter.
