obviously been a life long horse lover, but as the years go on I just appreciate the heart and bravery of these horses more and more. They’re just the most amazing creatures, looking forward to watching as the day goes on.

Also would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during the meeting mentioned. ☺️
Me too. Even more so after being domestic groom for 2 x 17hh+ retired comp horses. Was always a pony/small horse lass before that but fell head over heels for the big guys since then. Now I can really appreciate what it takes for these guys to throw themselves at these massive fences.

That wasn’t the greatest jump over the direct route but you gotta give it to Sam & Talisman, they got away with it!

I don’t blame talisman for having a good look at vicarage vee ditch, I think I’d want to have a peep too before I had to jump it ;) these horses are so brave

Felix is amazing

Shame for Sam but they did look a bit scary in places, definitely saved by one of those frangibles

I’ve just realised the final fence is on a straight line through the entrance to the arena. Instead of previous years gallop through arena then turn a corner to the final fence. Wonder what the thought process was behind that, was it like that last year? Can’t recall.
