Zara rode the lake so well, she knows he is a little bugger, just like when he ran out at the bottom of the leaf pit at Burghley. I’ve got everything crossed for her!

I was just thinking before we were told he isn’t a big horse, ‘wow, what a huge jump and big stride’. So I would never have guessed either! BE website says he’s 16.2?

Honestly, apart from the odd draft/lg cob/shire type cross, I had no idea how big some of the warmblood comp types were.
I guess it was down to my own experience, not too limited, maybe 15 yards with my loans/my own. Until I met the 17.3hh Dutch WB I cared for I had never met one like that. The odd taller but rangy TB type and chunky cob/hunter types. Nothing like this boy, built like a tank. An absolute unit as I think young 'uns say today.
