I have a now traditional Badminton XC party at my house the years that we don't go in person :)
Bacon baps and coffee at 11.00
Pimms and nibbles all afternoon
Pizzas and gin after
Love it nearly as much as being there!
I think £20 for Badminton TV is a bargain. It was hard to get used to it after being red button for so long, but I believe they need to raise the revenue somewhere and its a drop in the ocean compared to what I'd spend if I was there

Unless I’m grooming I’ve always hosted xc day at mine similar to sportsmansB…. With the added bonus that this year is post xc BBQ weather.

I normally go the first day but find ticket prices creeping up so decided not to go this year, I am thinking of getting Badminton TV can anyone tell me if it actually streams ok? I don't want to pay to find it constantly freezing!

My Badminton TV subscription automatically renewed which took me a bit by surprise but now I have it I will definitely be watching especially as a friend is competing :)

I am going on the Friday to walk the course and have a mooch around.

Given that entry is £52.50 per person (plus parking) on Saturday I thought £19.99 was not bad value.

I don't think the £19.99 is bad value, especially with the coverage from previous years and interviews etc. Sadly it's not looking like I will be able to watch it live this year, even though it's one of my favourite days of the year 😭

£20.00 is a bargain compared to the price of a ticket and cost of travel.

If I can't go (see above regarding Disabled ticket) I plan to pay and watch instead.
It is! We are going Saturday £50 a ticket (plus parking) and also have Badminton TV as I love watching the dressage build up etc..it’s also handy to have on my phone when walking round the course so you can see who’s up next and if there is a delay you can see what the hold up is!

Of course if we were on a tight budget we’d not go and I’d have Badminton TV… it’s good value in my opinion x

I am looking forward to it on Badminton TV although there will be competition for the TV from 1pm as "our" rugby team's match starts then and Mr EM will want to watch that so I may have to swap to the laptop. Either way, I'm really looking forward to it.

Same. I wasn't planning to as was struggling with monies but it came out automatically so I'll need to make sure that's amended for next year.

Since I have it, I'll be glued to the TV.

I mirror image from my iPad onto the tv.
For those of you that are surprised at automatic renewal, there were numerous reminders that this would happen unless you cancelled before renewal was due.
For anyone asking about coverage freezing, I find Badminton tv about the best, clear pictures and commentary and no glitches, far superior to Horse and Country. Even logging in is easier. Great value if you can’t be there in person.
Enjoy everyone!
I have a day of gardening and dressage today!

I think it’s well worth £20 for good coverage of everything , I share screen from my laptop to my tv and it’s great, trouble is after walking my dogs I am now stuck in my chair with a coffee watching the dressage all day

I'll be at work and it's set to be a busy one, but I have the app on my phone so I'll likely be listening in!
