It's early but it is Thursday so here we go...

Plans

Tonight = dressage lesson to prep for...
Our first Dressage Ireland competition on Saturday, followed by...
PC Derby on Monday

No wait...

Got a side wall puncture that can't be fixed and they are not sure if they can get one to match the others in time for the weekend! Boo boo boo lol

Oh well :(

Oh no Wheels! Your forum name suddenly seems inappropriate...(sorry ;) ). I hope it gets fixed quickly and you can get out to something or other!

My weekend starts early as I have a birthday trip to Badminton tomorrow :D Should be a fun day of giggling at Pammy Hutton and Peter Storr on Badminton radio, shopping for stuff for my new lorry (SO exciting! It's got its plating on 16 May and I'll have it after that), walking the xc course and occasionally watching some dressage ;)

Saturday I'll be mostly watching Badminton xc on TV, with a quick break for a lesson at 1. Then heading out for some dressage on Sunday to get some more match practice in ahead of Inter-Regionals next weekend - we're representing Central region. Monday probably a chilled hack or a trip to Ikea and Halfords for more lorry stuff!!

Oh that’s a pain wheels. Hope it’s fixed but the downside of bank holiday weekends is it’s harder to get stuff like that sorted, boo indeed.

Badders watching so not too much riding. Jump lesson tonight. If it’s not too wet we’ll be in the jump paddoc on grass which means I don’t need to put them out. Whoop.

Off up to badminton Friday, maybe going clay pigeon shooting and, if I can, a flatwork lesson at Talland. Then hopefully having fun in the sun over the weekend, hack out when we get back and off somewhere riding for the Monday. My kind of weekend

Oh exciting jiffy getting all your lorry stuff, great fun.

Id forgotten about badminton, will definitely watch if I can't get the horsey out. Otherwise it should be good weather for hacking at least

Keysoe is cancelled so our plans are down the drain. :(

Might pop arena eventing on the Saturday with the aim to rewatching all the Badminton XC on Sunday. As well as trying to plan a more adventures so we are ready for our next event in a few weeks.

Oooh early start :D
Bad news about the wheels, Wheels... everything crossed for you. Sounds like some fun packed weekends coming up :)

Nice plans coming together here too.. Had a fab ride this morning with Kira and got 6 one tempis on the long side so quite keen to keep plugging away on that over the bank hol ;)
Salty has a clinic tonight to continue her socialisation process :tongue3: and practice working with other horses.

Off to Badders tomorrow as won a pair of tickets, also looking forward to Pammy and Peter on the radio! Saturday will be watching xc on the TV (*whispers* and doing housework, can't be all play time sadly).

See to the oldies on Sunday and Monday will either go to arena hire or box off to the woods for a hack if I can twist someone's arm to come with me.

Kira has a show on Wednesday. Fun times!

Not too much planned, will watch Badders XC on TV ( wish we were going...)
But we are having Ikea furniture for my DD bedroom delivered on Friday, so Saturday and possibly Sunday as well..... will mostly be putting it together ( or avoiding DH when he does it !) LOL
Horsey Plans are to school Friday, Hack and some fast work on Saturday , lesson booked for Sunday and maybe on Monday an arena hire for some SJ practice.
if the sun is out a BBQ may well also be on the cards :-)

M75 continues to be my bogey test.

I had a lesson yesterday and we’ve decided to go for suppleness over attitude this weekend so hopefully that decision won’t cost me too much score-wise - Depends who the judge is as to whether or not i’ll get crucified. My test isn’t until 1939 so it will be a late night...

I have a lesson with a listed judge this afternoon, plus I have two of dad’s to ride today and then Henry has his first physio session tomorrow so I’m hoping we’ll get the okay to start lunging him. Poor beau’s mouth is sore so no lunging for him for a few days until that settles down again.

Nothing planned for Sunday as of yet...

99% likely we're taking the clyde to a show Saturday. Just waiting for transport to confirm.

Given that 6 weeks ago the vet was pushing for x-rays and we had the hunt on standby because the infection seemed to have spread to his pedal bone, I am beyond happy to have him here. We won't place because his off hind was shaven for the poultice and he's got hoof putty over the abcess but there's so few shows that have heavy classes that I want to make the most of it.

So, open heavy horse in hand and possibly harness turnout class as well. Depends on the weather, I am not having it rained on. But I will be the happiest person on the show ground just to have him alive and beig his usual bouncy self!

And Sunday is Badminton on the TV all day.

Enjoy it, everyone

No bank holiday weekend over here, because holidays are not shifted to the following Monday, like the UK. But we get both V.E. day (8 May) and Ascension Thursday (10 May) off next week, w00t. :D

I've just signed myself up for a jumping class on Sunday 6 May, trail ride through the forest on Sunday 20 May and level two test on Sunday 27 May... my daughter gave me a book to help prepare for tests up to level 4; I'd better get to work revising facial and leg markings, coats and body parts. It doesn't do to label the different bits on the picture as "skirt", "flank", "rump", "silverside", "topside"...

Can you borrow a trailer if your own isn't ready wheels? Poor you 😣😣

Good luck everyone competing and going to badminton.

We had really busy weekend just past, so plan to take it easy.

Will take son to indoor SJ on Friday night, I've got a mini sj/xc competition on Sunday, and we might have a lesson on Monday. Quite chilled out 😃

Western Show Fri/Sat/Sun just going for the walk jog classes as my own back issues don't permit canter/lope at the moment. The entire contents of my house and tack room are in the car and horse is already at the venue as she helpfully pinged a shoe last Saturday and I use the venues farrier. So took her over to be shod and left her there on full livery for a few days. I feel terrible about it but towing in that wind on Monday was not worth a 2nd attempt.
Exited, nervous and apprehensive :) Desperately trying to remember that I do this for fun so it doesn't actually matter how we do, I just really don't want to let my little horse down.

Had planned on going to Badminton on Saturday, but alas, no more. My friend can't make it due to other commitments. It's open weekend at the farm so trying to work my horse before/ after the hoards of people descend on us.

Good luck everyone going out.
I hope you're able to get the tyre fixed Wheels.

It's my jeep that has the puncture - I do have a full size spare but I just daren't drive the 100 mile round trip on saturday without a spare, my luck would be for another flat somewhere on the motorway

Argh, sorry about your wheels wheels :(

Good luck those competing

My weekend plans are a bit Fuzzy atm, as I'm not sure what I'm doing work-wise. But I'm definitely going to badminton on Sunday and then hacking around that, mainly in the forest to do some canter work. I did have half an idea about taking either Dabs or Arty showing on Monday, but it depends if I'm off work and can be faffed with the turnout side of life

Aww it's only Thursday.... Get your tyre company to ring round and source one... Good luck x

:D :D :D hehe there are a couple of showing shows I could get to on Monday and having nothing else planned I did contemplate it :biggrin3:

But then I remembered Kira's mane. There's no way that will sit right for showing and I'm not hacking her dressagey tail!

First Summer Trec of the season at Park Farm, first time at Level 2 and hoping we can make the distance at some reasonable sort of speed. Looking forward to it (nervously!)

Sorry about the tyre Wheels. Now the weather is finally picking up it must be infuriating to have a car issue!

Good luck all those competing and enjoy Badminton all those there or glued to the red button.

The girls have a PC rally tonight to practice XC ready for an unaff ODE at Eland Lodge on Sunday. A big test for Ginny-Baby-Pony so fingers crossed she copes.

Telly watching all day Saturday and most excitingly of all JUMP CAMP at Somerford from Monday. Woop woop......

Haha, yes, even as I wrote that I thought "well really the only choice is Arty as Dabs' mane could not be wrangled into show-worthy" :D

She's also considerably less likely to make a tit of me in a busy showground than he is.... :p

We're going to Badminton on Sat if you want to jump in?!

I fancy doing a bit of schooling. Perhaps a hack aswell. He is unshod at the moment and has very thin soles so I have to be a careful about where we go.

It's lovely to be back on him again. He had a couple of months off over winter and then another few months off due to illness. So I'm happy just to take it easy and enjoy ourselves.

Well, good start to my long weekend as Salty and I have returned home in one piece from the clinic :D

She was hotter than a hot thing which is just weird because she's been a bit of a droopy-drawers dobbin all week  So it was a bit unexpected to find her super reactive and spooky, but she did hold herself together and did some good work, even if I did need my brave pants :p The trainer said she thought she'd like the polework clinic that she's doing next time but I have declined and will take Kira :biggrin3: maybe next time!

Having an easy time horse-wise as got most of the hunters turned away - only got two in work and one of those had his blind wolf teeth out today, so he's having some time off while he heals. Only one to ride - bonus over Badminton weekend!
Going to a friend's at lunchtime Sat for a XC binge with her,
Sunday showjumping on the telly (obvs) and will keep going with the mammoth garden tidy up my OH left me when he did some chainsaw gardening last week (to be fair, I have been asking him for about two years to get rid of a load of bushes and old trees, but I didn't expect him to do it all at once over one afternoon when I was out.... I've had two bonfires already and am only halfway through)

Monday is POINT TO POINT day - and seeing as how I'm the Secretary, I just might have to show my face..... fingers crossed the warm weather hangs around for Monday!

Glad the clinic went well MP. Pony club rally was fab. Baby-Pony was a star. She really is coming on so well now.

I started the BH weekend with a ride out on DP this morning and one that was a first for him. Despite his age, he's just 8 it was his first proper solo hack to get to a clinic. I chose the lesson because I really like the trainer and her yard is on one of our usual hacking routes so in theory he would have nothing new to gawp at. Very proud of my boy who was a complete star and didn't put a hoof wrong there and back. I did have to get off to do a gate but he stood like a rock for me to get back on. I may not have ridden him a great deal over the winter but the separation work to help his anxiety certainly seems to have paid off and now I know we can both go it alone and survive we will be heading out for more lessons.

Hope everyone has a good weekend whatever the plans are.

LL, that sounds like DP has really grown up! Well done with all the work you've put in :cool3:

I'm mostly hacking and sofa surfing watching badminton tomorrow.
Sunday the same but adding bsb to watch.
Monday escorting 2 friends on a fun ride.
