Bareback Footwear - Piaffe boots?

I've just bought a pair of these boots as I fancied a front zip. I like the look of them but the leather is a little stiff around the ankles. I know I'm not going to get Celeris quality for that money but does anyone have them and can confirm if they soften up or not? I have metal in one ankle and so need soft leather. TIA.

I have a pair and absolutely love them.
But I don’t think the leather at and below the ankle softens very much.

Polo boots are usually pretty stiff i think. if they gave too much the zip would crumple wouldn't it?

I’ve got the Phoenix pair from the same company. Mine were stiff at first but have softened over time and are super comfortable now. I’ve also had the rear zip replaced by then and had excellent service. ? you break yours in soon!
