barefoot I am getting seriously worried PART 2

The Humble Hoof on FB just put up an interesting post re learning about the POV of people who aren’t necessarily on the same path as you (& how learning to appreciate why they might do things as they do doesn’t mean you have to change what you’re doing if it works for you) and also the dangers of echo chambers / the loss of opportunities for learning potentially caused by them.

Not sure on current stance re FB links so won’t post it (but happy to find it if considered ok)

can't see any problem with putting other links (except one of course) up from FB so yes please. :D

Here we go (if it works of course!)

Works, thanks.
Approach sounds entirely reasonable and democratic in principle, have we to apply it to the Middle East peace process?
Serious reservation: no indication and absolutely no idea what the proposer actually does espouse - is it legal, is it risky, is it lucrative, is it harmful, etc?

Well as she’s a barefoot trimmer not a professional diplomat (plenty of posts re how she operates elsewhere on her FB page) I believe she’s mainly commenting on horse related FB shenanigans / social media daftness in general, not suggesting how a rather delicate & complicated peace process (that she’s not referred to anywhere in her post and hasn’t been brought up anywhere on this thread?) should go.

The reason I brought it up is I thought it slotted in nicely with some of what’s been discussed about feet & trimming on this specific thread (& I view her page as one of the ones that doesn’t tend to usually engage in some of the tit for tat that goes on)

Has anyone been watching the fallout on FB with a certain track livery and their sponsors?
Yes!

Trickle net and aubiose I've seen so far.

I suspect nutritionist Clare giving the "laminitis is caused by trim not diet" a FB post has helped shine a light on the nonsense. She has a lot of reach and is respected by a lot of professional companies.

Sorry but I really do not have a clue what the heck all this is about!!!

Sounds like someone has the grit between their teeth about the age-old "Barefoot" -v- "shod" issue, but other than that I am really struggling to comprehend what this is actually all about.

Someone is obviously going to a great deal of time and trouble to convince us of something.............

The best advice I could give would be for them to take a stiff drink and go lie down in a dark room for a bit.

Seriously. It just isn't worth getting het up about.

I think it’s getting beyond a joke with them now . They shut people down when asked questions and put out ridiculous statements which they know are going to ruffle feathers .

Then they cry they are being victims
So they should do what you do without the need to belittle people and their beliefs.

But it is worth getting het up about, to the people concerned, HM are travelling round the world teaching so their subscription income must be substantial, GTL have been receiving bedding from their sponsor.
It's just a shame as there are some good points from both sides but to declare this is the only way ......😐

I've been following it since HM put their article out on FB last week. I seen Aubiose and Trickle Nets (I think) stopped sponsoring GTL. I've missed a bit over the weekend and woke up this morning to a substantial FB post from Trickle Nets regarding the whole situation. Apparently GTL has came off social media. What happened there?

I’ve wasted lots of time trawling through all of the Facebook posts and it’s really scarey that trimming the heels down low is all it takes to cure P3 rotation and diet doesn’t cause laminitis.. there is a very informative video showing exactly how P3 works on The Study of the Equine Hoof . I don’t know how to link but I’m sure someone can

it's nothing like any of that. If you want to know what is going on then trawl through the first half dozen posts on the link below. We are looking at the effect or otherwise of diet and laminitis. Please note that if you reply we are very careful not to criticise or mention these people on here to avoid getting the thread closed

link is above for you. Haven't got round to reading the P3 thing yet.

Who are these brain-out, muddle heads?
Inflammation in the body including laminae can be caused by inappropriate diet, but stretching and tearing of same laminae is only ever caused by inappropriate trimming of hooves?
and what when there has been no subsequent trimming of any hooves, when the animal becomes ‘inflamed’ and promptly rotates and/or sinks like a stone?
Same animal was obviously fine and uninflamed with whatever type of trim, prior to the dietary inflaming incident……
Bit of basic chronology, if you’re going to argue cause and effect.

I should think it got a bit hot!
If running round and around a horse track, properly servicing the needs and outputs of multiple equines, there’ll surely be very limited time for composing any well-thought-out-and-thoroughly-evidenced, logical, posts?

Does anyone else think the heels start to go up again on some of the after pictures or is it just me🤔 I'm very confused by the whole thing.

if you, or anyone else, hasn't read the full article/post from the tricklenet lady it is worth a read. She really doesn't like them. :D

Also within a day the hair around the clipped foot has grown 🤔 not sure I believe they are the dates shown on the photos

I can't see them, but I think I am blocked after commenting on another page's post about the ongoing saga (which has since been deleted).

ETA, I can see via a private browser, so I am definitely blocked now.
