Not that I know much as haven't actually evented myself but when I got home last night, I checked the results online and was really surprised how many had got round, not just with clear rounds but inside the time.

Last year seemed to cause more problems and really sort the men from the boys. Yes it's great to see the young riders and first timers do well, but like the lake - people slided through the whole thing and got away without ANY penalties. That's not very Badminton like and it's meant to be the toughest event in the world...

Bring back Lexington Lane, the Farmyard and the stone walls I say

Yes, it was by far the softest Lake I have ever seen. was tougher 20 years ago..
I just think that 16 clears inside the time xc (if i've counted right) and 10 clears inside the time so far in sj is waay too many.
sj course designer could have beefed it up to compensate for yesterday, perhaps.
