Random thought...I seem to remember years ago that in a major championship the top individual riders switch horses at the end to decide who wins which medal - does that still happen?

I think so? Jos Lansik rode Shutterfly. Did well, but wasn't the same horse as Meredith gets.

Shutterfly is very quirky...I think I read that a lot of top riders passed him over as a youngster including Meredith herself.

It's been temperamental all week - v cold in the evenings, had some real downpours, but was roasting yday.
