BCA times are up, we're half an hour away and have been having showers for past couple of days so hoping when we get there with the plans to agrivate/equivate (what is the difference ) hopefully the course will be ok. The link to Metcheck says rain is occurring each day but it changes daily

Meeting the stewards there tomorrow for something else, so will make the decision on whether to run on Saturday or give it a miss. Hope it is ok as Pig could really do with a decent run.

Anyone else entered? :)

Yay!! I'm going on the Sunday for the BE90- will check my times as soon as I've typed this!

I live in Ascot (so quite near) and we have had loads of rain so I'm thinking the ground will be good??

If not, they said they could move the SJ into the arena.

What day are you on? :)

i'm doing the BE90 on Sunday morning. dressage at 9am - yuck! yet another 5am start. so far every BE I've done has meant up at 5am. we've had loads of rain in the last few days (I live not far from Ascot either) so hoping ground should be pretty good as more forecast over next few days. If it could stop for Sunday that would be good though. Just trying to decide whether to walk course Sat afternoon while the Novice is on or go later once it's all finished and the SJ is set up ready for Sunday so less to do on Sunday morning.

Im 20 mins away and had lots of rain with more forecast.

Does anyone know if your allowed to go and stand by the XC fences to watch/take pictures?

Yes you are, I was there last year and stood by a particularly meaty fence and took pics of my friend. There were people on the course as I went round and they just blow the whistles to warn ppl when you are approaching.

lovely, thanks :)

I shall be there whichever day the weather is better then!

Weare on, on the Saturday. Hope you have good times, ours are mid morning so not bad at all, especially as we are walking tomorrow. Good luck :)

Star, Do you request later times so you can walk on the day etc, maybe if you put in the notes you have always been early on they will be kind, can't harm asking. Maybe easier to go when you can walk the SJ too, we won't see you so good luck :)

That sounds good, the more rain the better. Have fun taking photos, if you look at the website, www.bdwp.co.uk/aallen you will be taken to the page, click on the BCA and you will go to their home page, the weather button is to the left, this takes you to Metcheck and will help you decide what is best. Currently it is saturday, if you go then don't get too close the Pig's belly might just knock you over :D:p

I'm doing the BE90 and in section I on the Sunday, second to last horse to go, thankfully! It's a good 2.5 hour drive for us. Not dressaging until 12:40.

We're dropping down to BE90 for one event before moving back up if all ok so hopefully we will have a nice run, haven't ever been to BCA so looking forward to it. :)

Star- I usually put on my entry form that I would like an end of section time if possible. Usually get it so a) not as earlier start and b) not a long wait for results! :D

star- I think you're in my section! Are you on Marmalade Monty?! Will def say hi if I see you!

My dressage is at 11:58 even though I live near- sooooooo happy I get a bit of a lie in!!

I will be on a liver chestnut gelding number 381 if anyone wants to say hi! :) xx

I'm number 443 so if you see me around say hello! :) You're dressage is much earlier than mine but may still see you. Best of luck to everybody!

i am no.356, yes i am on the Marmalade. Bright orange 15.2hh gelding with 4 big white socks. I'll be the one with matchsticks keeping my eyes open - again. And then I'll probably be the one asleep waiting hours for the results. I didn't know you could request times - I'll do that from now on! doh!
