Would any of you lovely people who are BD members be able to check if my horse has a record please.
I have his record from before he was imported to the UK and was told he'd been competed at Novice level BD but am not currently a member so can't check myself.

Thanks. They've added the option to sign up as associate member back onto the website so I joined and had a look.
Can't see him on there.
Am I right in thinking that if he had been registered it would have been under his passport name?

Yes should have been his passport name.

If he was competed on a class ticket the results won't show. There may be other similar circumstances that would explain a lack of results on the database. E.g. I don't think assoc. reg results are displayed etc either.

that must be the situation, also explains why he's never come up in a Google search.

Oh well quite good in one way that he has no points as I have UA options as well now.
Next question....he has points at L level in Holland which he got as a 4 yr old before being imported. Will they be taken into consideration if I register him?

Yep, there are various options with imported horses and the rules are changing with the new structure on 1st of December so might be best to ring BD! How old was he when he was imported and what level are you hoping to compete at?

The current rules allocate points based on age at import so imported as a 4yrold = no BD points, 5yr old allocated 45 BD points etc. then you can do downgrading or assessments if you need to. Mine was a 5yrold at import so I didn't worry about downgrading etc!
