OMG we survived but I was shaking till the next morning, have been on a high since I jumped off my pony. What a star she is, I love her lots & lots & lots because she looked after me and basically I pointed she jumped and I only pointed cos I was being shouted at by Richard Carruthers our trainer.
Bearing in mind that we started doing XC comps last year and i'm a novice and that Fern has only ever jumped with me as i've had her since she was 3 1/2 years old and Fern is my 1st horse. I would have to say that i'm feeling very proud. Not so much proud of me but proud of Fern. She's soooo brave, up for anything :shock: crazy mare. I think she thinks she's 16.2hh as again we were smallest in the class (14.3hh) but she's there doing it without a thought about how big the jumps were. lol
I was quite nervous, jumped the warm up jumps whilst waiting for Richard and Fern was ermmm FULL OF IT :roll: It was quite embarrasing as the breaks weren't working. once we got working we actually got some lovely steady canter strides before each jump.
Anyway i'll shut up and show you the pictures.
Little bit close to this one.
Ok this jump was MASSIVE and I said I wouldn't do it and decided I needed a bigger pony!!! We got shouted at and Fernie did it. I think I was swearing and had my eyes shut. :rofl:
Rabbit Hutch
The bigger rabbit hutch, the person before me fell off and landed on it. GREAT
We did it though.
Ditch
Extremely HUGE brush, fir,log thingy whatever its called it was massive but I love this picture
Down hill :shock: This was one of the two jumps she refused because of ME
Out from the water
Going back towards the water (sorry no water piccies
)
Straight after the water.
Can't wait for the XC comp at the weekend now. I'm feeling rather confident :lol:
