Im sure there must have been another thread about this somewhere, but i havent had a look through im afraid, so please be patient with me!
My two 'younger' ones live out all year round with a field shelter, unless the weather really is horrendous, in which case, i get soft and bring them in, but my old man lives in at night. He's always had shavings, and never had a problem, but one of the liveries at my yard uses shredded paper. I hadnt seen this being used in absolutely years (as in 30years at least!), and always remember it being a pain in the backside to muck out.
But then i wandered what the reasonings/benefits of it were? Obviously, its incredibly cheap, if not free, but are they any other pluses to it?
Happy weekend everyone! Hope you all have a good one!
