Bens first jump and short video!

So proud of my little soldier, yesterday we did our first jump together, firstly no cc, I am utterly appauled at how much I let him down at the first jump:o entirely my fault and I was not committed... I feel really bad, secondly, despite having not jumped in over a year... Im also shocked at how bad my position is, way too forward and just generally awful:eek::eek: Im not normally like that, I dont know what on earth I was doing!! Anyway... All credit to my little stag, he seems to love his jumping. we did one more jump that isnt in the video and it was a peach, nice forward smooth trot, a perfect 'pop' over the jump and landed on a steady canter stride... he got huge amounts of praise, a polo and cuddles. I cant embed the video as it is a fb one. But here it is... our very first jumping session. I know he would have jumped it first time if I hadnt been such a flipping prat:o he is so brave and wonderful and I love him:

does it not bring up my recent posts??? Someone shared it on my FB, so I have re-posted it, that may fix it... if not, feel free to add me as a friend... although your news reel may be flooded with pictures of ben in the future :D

I know, its so funny, as a youngser he was always popping the cornish hedges to get to the bullocks on my ex's farm, but a barely there cross pole... now thats just odd! :D In his defense, the last jump (typically the one after the video) he took me to it... totally confident, forward but not pulling, and saying 'oh yeah baby, l know this now... let me show you how its done!!' :D

thank you, he certainly did didnt he? Im so proud of him and so very glad that he enjoyed it... but then I suppose its all about how you introduce it, Ive wanted for ages to do a jump with him, but obviously didnt want to do it when he was too young or lacking in experience and confidence in the school... since coming back from the county show he has just been so self confident, and enthusiastic in the school... it made such a difference.

Hi guys, sorry only just got back from the yard, I think it's to do with my fb settings, I had to tighten them up a bit because of the ex... So it's probably friends of friends... Anyways, I've added everyone who has sent me a link to theirs, made a request or messaged me on fb... Hope you enjoy :D. As I said, I look awful... My position suck big time, but Ben is the star of the show :D

Today we went for a lovely 30 min hack with the other four year old at the yard, I'd set up the x pole in the video, another x pole on the diagonal and a straight bar with a ground pole on the other length, we did a couple of figures of eight, no hesitation, not even on the straight bar. He is so deserving of his day off tomorrow. Most of you know what we went through last year and how we lost ebony, you know I've owned him since a foal and that it wasn't until the day ebony was PTS that I bonded with him and felt a ferocious need to 'be there' for him. This last year has just been the most amazing year of firsts, achievements, pride and enjoyment... I'm so thankful for him :D. I feel pretty blessed x.

But... I can't see the video of Ben jumping :( Booo I want to see too! ;)

Hmmm, odd... Will look into it... Video wise it may be because the original video was posted on my friends fb page and shared to mine... Feel free to add me :)

Just thought I should let you know, I have mine on private (I think :o) as there are a few undesirables I'd like to keep out too and would hope someone would tell me if my page was open to all and sundry :)
